US police are investigating a fatal shooting of a General Mills employee at one of the company’s sites in the state of Indiana.
A man, identified in US reports as Cristopher Trowell, 48, was shot dead by a fellow General Mills worker in a parking area at the Pillsbury plant in New Albany.
The unnamed suspect is said to be in police custody, with US reports citing a local coroner, who said the shooting involved a love triangle.
A General Mills spokesman confirmed to just-food last night (5 August) that both the individuals involved were employees of the company.
The spokesman said operations at the plant had been temporarily suspended as the company helped with the investigation.
