General Mills’ re-launched Oatmeal Crisp cereal has become an official sponsor of the American Stroke Association’s ‘power to end stroke’ campaign, which aims to educate consumers about stroke risk factors and prevention.

The American Stroke Association and Oatmeal Crisp are working to increase stroke awareness particularly among groups at greater risk, such as baby boomers and African Americans.

General Mills is re-launching Oatmeal Crisp Healthy Raisin cereal and introducing new Oatmeal Crisp Maple Brown Sugar cereal, which can be incorporated into a healthy diet in order to help reduce the risk of stroke, the US’s second largest cereal manufacturer said.

“Baby Boomers want more choices that allow them to improve their health, while at the same time enjoying great flavour. We redefined these Oatmeal Crisp flavours to meet their needs perfectly,” said Eric Treschuk, marketing manager for Oatmeal Crisp cereal. “With Oatmeal Crisp Hearty Raisin and Oatmeal Crisp Maple Brown Sugar, Baby Boomers can enjoy variety, great taste and all the health benefits they are seeking in a cereal.”
