US retailer Costco has booked rising first-quarter revenue and profits after rising sales at home and in Canada and the UK.

The company booked a 12% rise in net sales to US$15.5bn during the three months to 25 November.
Comparable sales rose 8%, with US sales up 5% and international sales up 17% on a comparable basis, Costco said.
Net income was up 11% to $262m.
