The US food giant plans to make its Weight Watchers Smart Ones and Boston Market ranges at the site, which will employ 350 people.


“Our frozen meals business is growing rapidly and the new facility is a sign of our commitment to supporting and sustaining this growth,” said Dave Moran, president and CEO of Heinz North America.


Weight Watchers is enjoying booming sales. Last week, Heinz said the brand saw sales jump 26% in the year to 31 March.


The 49-acre site will be located in Florence County, South Carolina.
