Hershey workers in the US have approved plans that will see the chocolate giant phase out production at the company’s original factory.
Union members at two Hershey plants in Pennsylvania gave the green light to proposals that will see production stop at the company’s 19 East Chocolate Avenue facility and move to its West Hershey site.
Hershey will expand the West Hershey plant and certain administrative functions at the East Chocolate Avenue site will remain but the reorganisation will reportedly lead to job losses of up to 600.
