US food group Hormel Foods has promoted company veteran Bob Tegt to the role of group vice president for its speciality foods business.

Tegt, who has spent 34 years at Hormel, will lead the company’s Diamond Crystal Brands and Century Foods International units, as well as its speciality products. Tegt has been an executive within the division since last January.
Chairman, president and CEO Jeffrey Ettinger said: “Bob has exhibited great leadership with the speciality foods group. Under his direction, the speciality foods group has become a significant contributor to our bottom line over the last two years.”
