The new Hostess 100 Calorie Packs offer consumers portion-controlled, snack sized packages each containing three mini cup cakes with a cream filling.


The new products are available nationwide, and come in three varieties: chocolate cake with chocolate icing and creamy filling, golden cake with chocolate icing and creamy filling and carrot cake with cream cheese icing and creamy filling.


A new advertising campaign, developed by Bernstein-Rein, is being mounted to support the national roll out, with the tagline “3 Cakes, 100 Calories, Real satisfaction”. The campaign will include national print advertising in women’s magazines such as People, O, The Oprah Magazine, Ladies Home Journal and Redbook, as well as in-store communications.
