US firm J&J Snack Foods has announced the acquisition of ice cream firm Philly Swirl for an undisclosed sum.

Florida-based Philly Swirl produces “frozen novelty products” sold to both retail and foodservice locations throughout the United States and Canada. Philly Swirl revenues are approximately US$25m a year.
