“The more we can offer simplicity while taking the sacrifice out of dieting, the easier it is for women to pursue their shape-management programs,” said Mark Baynes, senior vice president, marketing, Morning Foods Division, Kellogg Company. “Special K’s new protein-enhanced products offer delicious, convenient and wholesome solutions to help consumers stay on track to achieve their weight goals.”

The new products complement Kellogg’s Special K line, which already includes cereals, bars and snack bites, the company said. The new range consists of: Special K2O Protein Waters in three flavours, Strawberry Kiwi, Lemon Twist and Tropical Blend; Special K Protein Meal Bars, which come in Chocolate Peanut Butter and Double Chocolate and Strawberry flavours; Special K Protein Snack Bars, available in Chocolate Peanut and Chocolate Delight.

“We know that people who are dieting are interested in easy ways to add protein to their diets,” said Harley Pasternak, MSc, fitness-and-nutrition specialist and author of 5 Factor Fitness and the upcoming 5 Factor Diet. “These products are great because they easily fit into busy lifestyles without sacrificing on taste or nourishment.”
