The US cereal giant has halted its output at a plant in Atlanta and has started its “deep cleaning and sanitation” programme after a “potential food safety issue” was identified through routine testing.
Selected Kellogg’s Eggo waffles and rolls were recalled after being distributed to grocery stores across the US.
One affected line is a 10-count package of Kellogg’s Eggo Cinnamon Toast waffles, with UPC code 3800040440, and “Best If Used Before” dates starting with NOV22 10 EA, NOV23 10 EA and NOV24 10 EA.
Eight-count packages of Kellogg’s Eggo Toaster Swirlz Cinnamon Roll Minis, with a UPC code 3800023370 and a “Best If Used Before” date beginning with NOV15 10 EA have also been reflected.

“We’re currently following our protocol for deep cleaning and sanitation and working cooperatively with the Georgia Department of Agriculture. We don’t have a specific date at this time for resuming production.”
