Kraft Foods CFO David Brearton will become the finance chief of the US food group’s global snacks business when it splits in two this year.
Brearton, who has worked for Kraft since 1984, moved from a role of executive vice president of operations to CFO last year.

He will become the finance chief of the global snacks business Kraft intends to create when it spins off its North American grocery operations. The snacks company will make brands including Cadbury chocolate and Oreo biscuits.
Brearton’s predecessor as CFO, Timothy McLevish, will become the finance chief for Kraft’s North American grocery unit.
Kraft, which last month named the chief executives of both companies, today set out the management teams for both companies.
There were few surprises in the announcement, with many senior executives keeping their existing roles or attaining similar positions after the split.
