“In the United States, Kraft is offering products in smaller package sizes, such as our DiGiorno and California Pizza Kitchen “For One” frozen pizzas, Kraft Easy Mac Cups, Oscar Mayer Singles,” a spokesperson for the US food giant told just-food.
“These products are designed to meet the convenience needs of consumers, particularly those living in smaller households,” Kraft said.

It had been reported that the move to launch products in smaller packages was designed to appeal to consumers looking for lower cost-per-unit. However, Kraft said that if these products were cheaper this was merely coincidental.

“While these may also serve some consumers’ needs for lower price points, that was not the driver of these product innovations,” the company commented.
