Kraft Foods has promoted long-standing marketing executive Mary Beth West to the role of chief marketing officer.


The US group announced the appointment today (29 October), with West moving from her roles of group vice president for Kraft Foods and president, North America beverages immediately.


“Mary Beth brings to the CMO role a consumer-centric approach to business challenges, a passion for breakthrough marketing, and a long track record of success in building Kraft brands,” Kraft chairman and CEO Irene Rosenfeld.


West, who joined Kraft in 1986, will also oversee the company’s Tassimo hot beverage business.
