US grocery retailer Kroger has signed an agreement with Murray’s Cheese with the aim of expanding the supermarket chain’s specialty cheese programme.

Under the agreement, the details of which were not disclosed, Murray’s Cheese products will be carried by selected Kroger stores. The companies expect the programme to come into operation in early 2008.
“Our partnership with Murray’s allows us to build on their expertise as we expand our cheese offerings for our customers,” said Jeff Burt, Kroger’s vice president of Deli Bakery Merchandising.
