Severin, who takes up her position on 29 January, will lead the company’s Corporate Brands team, which Kroger views as key to the company’s growth. Corporate brands at Kroger are split into three tiers, Private Selection, Banner and Value brands, covering different segments of the market.

“Linda’s passion for translating what customers tell us they want into quality products and getting them on store shelves – at the right price – will enable us to expand what we offer our customers today,” said executive vice president of merchandising Don Becker. “We look forward to her expertise in leading our corporate brands strategy.”

Severin was formerly vice president of marketing at ConAgra Foods, and previously held management positions at Campbell’s, Dean Foods, Sara Lee and Rand McNally.
