Kroger Co has agreed to pay US$16m to settle a racial discrimination and harassment lawsuit, US reports said this week.

The suit claimed Kroger blocked the promotions of black employees and paid them less than white workers.


According to reports, the company did not admit any wrongdoing or liability, according to the terms of the agreement.


The settlement is still waiting on court approval.
