Kroger’s unionised Toledo workers have ratified a new contractual agreement.

The deal covers more than 3,000 workers at the US retailer’s 26 stores in the Toledo area who are represented by the UFCW union.

Bruce Macaulay, president of Kroger’s Columbus division, said the agreement was “good” for Kroger associates. “It provides a solid compensation package of wages and benefits, including affordable health care,” he explained.

“This agreement is the outcome of thoughtful, respectful and productive work by both the company and union bargaining committees.”
