Lifeway reported a 53% jump in revenue to US$9.7m, driven by a 30% rise in sales of the company’s probiotic dairy beverage Lifeway Kefir.
CEO Julie Smolyansky said: “The second quarter 2007 was another outstanding quarter for Lifeway Foods. Both of our main brands, the Lifeway and Helios kefir lines, had their best quarters in terms of revenues ever.”
