The study, commissioned by Advanced Technology Services (ATS) and conducted by Nielsen, found two-thirds of respondents would outsource maintenance as a hedge against a downturn in the economy.


 


The trend has been spurred by tight access to credit as businesses delay making new capital purchases, the researchers concluded.
