At the Chicago show, which runs from 19 to 21 May, Mars launched Transformers-themed M&M’s, Strawberried Peanut Butter Chocolate Candies and a Snickers Nougabot Bar. They are scheduled to roll out this spring to celebrate the 24 June release of the “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” movie.
The confectionery giant has also launched a limited-edition Snickers Fudge Bar, which will roll-out in August and M&M’s Coconut chocolate candies, which will hit shelves in July.
From July through December, Snickers will also make a donation to Feeding America for every Snickers Bar purchased.
In 2009, Mars estimates that the brand will donate the equivalent of around 3 million meals to “help feed the hungry”.
