The deal, announced yesterday (20 February), will complement McCormick’s product portfolio in North America and overseas, president and CEO Alan Wilson said.
“This s a terrific complement to our savoury products in Canada and a great extension of the sweet products we currently market in Europe and the Asia/Pacific region,” Wilson said.
The acquisition is McCormick’s second in three months. In November, the company snapped up the Lawry’s seasonings business from Unilever for US$605m.
