The mix, sold under the McCormick brand with a UPC code 52100091600, contains undeclared milk ingredients and may cause “serious or life threatening allergic reactions” for anyone consuming the product that has an allergy to milk, the company said yesterday (30
September).

The recall was initiated after it was discovered the product containing the milk ingredient was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of milk as an ingredient.

It was distributed to grocery stores nationally beginning on 17 September. The product comes in 1.5oz pouches with an expiration date of “best by” AUG2910CH.

The company said no illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date and no other McCormick products are involved in the recall.
