Mondelez International has appointed Tim Cofer as the head of its Asia Pacific and EEMEA operations to replace the retiring Pradeep Pant.

Pant, EVP of Asia Pacific and Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa, will retire at the year end, the company said today (27 August). Cofer, currently EVP and president of Europe, will take up the role.

Hubert Weber, president of Mondelez’s European coffee operations, will succeed Cofer in Europe.

“Pradeep has led the turnaround and dynamic growth of the company’s business in Asia Pacific since 2008,” said CEO Irene Rosenfeld. “During his tenure, Pradeep and his team more than doubled revenue in Asia Pacific through organic growth, while also integrating two large businesses and significantly improving profitability.

“Fortunately, we have a strong bench, and Tim and Hubert are experienced and highly successful leaders. I’m confident they will quickly transition into their new roles and take these businesses to the next level.”
