US pasta-to-cheese maker Monterey Gourmet Foods has appointed Mark Frandsen to its board of directors.

Frandsen has served as president and CEO of New Season Foods since 1994, which he purchased in 1998 and sold to Japanese food company Ajinomoto Co. in 2007.


He has also served as chairman of the Northwest Food Processors Association, director of the American Frozen Food Institute, and currently serves on the board of directors of the Association for Corporate Growth.


“Mark brings extensive food industry experience to the board,” said Eric Eddings, president and CEO of Monterey Gourmet Foods. “We believe he will help us manage and expand brands as we grow our company. We look forward to his insights and overall contribution.”


Frandsen added: “I am honoured to join the board. My goal is to help management expand the potential value of these brands and to guide the company through the next growth phase.”
