President and CEO of Monterey Gourmet Foods Jim Williams has resigned, citing personal reasons, the company revealed in a statement yesterday (5 September).


Williams, who had been with the company since 2002, also stepped down from the company’s board of directors.


Eric Eddings, senior vice president and president of Monterey’s natural foods unit, was named Williams’ successor.


Eddings joined Monterey in connection with its 2004 acquisition of Cibo Naturals, where he served as chief operating officer.
