Nestle has extended its Haagen-Dazs Gelato ice cream range in the US with the launch of a line of bars.
The bars will be available this month in three flavours – Vanilla Caramel Pizzelle, Tiramisu Dark Chocolate and Strawberry Dark Chocolate. They are sold in packs of three for a suggested retail price of US$4.99.
Nestle, which owns the US licence to Haagen-Dazs, launched the Haagen-Dazs Gelato brand in the US last year. Alex Placzek, Haagen-Dazs brand director, said US consumers had started to ask for “on-the-go options”.
