Nestle is preparing to expand its line of Butterfinger candies with the launch of Butterfinger peanut butter cups.
The new product, which will be available from next January, comes in three sizes: 1.5oz. single serving, a 3oz. share pack and a 40oz. “fun size take-home bag”.
“Each cup features a smooth, super peanut-buttery Butterfinger filling with just the right amount of crunchy pieces mixed in, all surrounded by delicious milk chocolate. Peanut butter cups will never be the same again,” Nestle said in a statement.
In a seperate sales update today (17 October), Nestle said it is seeing “strong” sales growth in its North American confectionery business, which offset softness in its frozen operations.
Speaking during a conference call to discuss the result, CEO Paul Bulcke said: “Confectionery is showing some strong growth. Overall, because of the strength of our brands, we are positive about the future for North America.”
