Nestle has added to its line of Raisinets snack products in the US, the Swiss food giant has revealed.

The group has unveiled Nestle Cranberry Raisinets, a line of dried cranberries covered in milk chocolate.

The cranberries, sourced from Ocean Spray, have been used to create a “better-for-you” snack, Nestle said.

“Americans are more aware of the impact diet has on their overall health and they are looking for better snacking options,” Trisha Bowles of Nestle’s confections and snacks business in the US said.

The products come in two sizes: a resealable 5.5oz bag at US$3.29 and a single-serve, 100 calorie pack at $0.89.
