PepsiCo has launched a chocolate-covered crisp in the US – a product it claims will give consumers “an enjoyable sweet and savoury snacking experience”.
The company is to sell Lay’s Wavy ridged-cut potato crisps “dipped in milk chocolate” at Target Corp. stores during the holiday season.
PepsiCo said the product, launched initially as a limited edition, was “the perfect combination of savory and sweet”. A 5oz bag of the crisps will have a suggested retail price of US$3.49.
