PepsiCo is looking to revitalise its Quaker Oats brand in the US with two new hot cereal varieties and a reformulation of its instant oatmeal.

The company said it will launch Quaker Hearty Medleys Instant Multigrain hot cereal and Mix-Up Creations this week.

Quaker described the Mix-Up Creations Instant Oatmeal as a “kid-focused product that allows children to create their very own breakfast by mixing together fun oatmeal flavours into unique combinations”. The product, available in half-pouch servings, includes five  flavours.

Its Quaker Hearty Medleys Instant Multigrain Hot Cereal comes in two varieties and offers a blend of four whole grains – oats, wheat, barley and rye.

Additionally the company has reformulated its Quaker Instant Oatmel to use larger wholegrain oats and 25% less sugar.

Alongside the launch, the company is planning to run a marketing campaign from 1 September with the tag line “Does Your Breakfast Make You Amazing?”
