US poultry group Pilgrim’s Pride has appointed Brazilian Fabio Sandri as chief financial officer.
Sandri will replace Gary Tucker, who is retiring after eight years at the firm, the company said on Friday (3 June).

Sandri was most recently CFO at Estacio Participacoes, one of Brazil’s largest higher education providers, Pilgrim’s said. Previously he was CFO of dental group Imbra SA.
Chief executive Bill Lovette said Sandri’s “significant” experience in strategic planning and financial management will benefit Pilgrim’s Pride, which is majority-owned by Brazilian meat giant JBS.
The appointment is effective immediately.
