In addition to containing real chocolate, a standard bowl of Life Chocolate Oat Crunch will also provide two servings of whole grains, 3-grams of fibre and ten essential vitamins and minerals. Quaker Oats also points out that Life Chocolate Oat Crunch provides 1-gram of oat soluble fibre.
“Consumers have told us they want a healthy cereal that also satisfies their chocolate cravings,” said Regan Ebert, Quaker Foods vice president of marketing. “As a trusted source in breakfast nutrition, we created Life Chocolate Oat Crunch as a healthy indulgence with a grown-up taste.”
Life Chocolate Oat Crunch is added to the four existing Life Cereal varieties: Life, Cinnamon Life, Honey Graham Life and Life Vanilla Yogurt Crunch. It will be available nationwide from this month, with a suggested retail price of US$3.49.
