The Billerica plant produces a variety of store-brand oil roasted and dry roasted snack nuts.
The company said the management of its Bremner Food Group subsidiary had reviewed production at the plant, and had decided that work should be moved to its snack nut manufacturing unit in Dothan, Alabama.
The consolidation is expected to improve the efficiency of Bremner Food Group’s snack nut business, the company added.
Ralcorp said the closure will take place during 2008, with some 90 employees affected by the closure. Some employees may be offered the opportunity to relocate to Dothan, the company said.
