“Our Virginia manufacturing plant takes Sabra to a new level in terms of innovation and production capabilities and we look forward to continuing to inspire a consumer base eager for a variety of healthy and delicious fresh food choices,” said Ronen Zohar, CEO of Sabra Dipping Co.
Sabra broke ground on the plant in January 2009. The facility will create around 260 jobs in Chesterfield County once it is fully operational.
Energy efficient measures include a 20% reduction in energy costs for heating and cooling, the use of premium efficiency motors for process equipment, around 35% of the building’s electricity will come from renewable sources, and 100% of water will be re-used for sewage transference and landscape irrigation.
