US gourmet salt maker Saltworks has announced the opening of a US$3m headquarters in Woodinville in Washington state.

The facility, which was officially opened on Wednesday (January 11) is the “most sophisticated natural salt flavoring, smoking, cleaning, sizing and packaging facility on the planet” according to the company.

With the best technology out there, SaltWorks is able to not only innovate, but also to preserve the unique artistry of each specialty salt.”

SaltWorks produces flavoured salts such as the Bonfire, Wildfire and Hellfire brands.
