Former Tesco and Safeway executive Jack Sinclair today (7 January) begins a new role at US retail giant Wal-Mart.

Sinclair, 47, has joined Wal-Mart as executive vice president of grocery merchandise in a key role at the top of the company’s US business.
Sinclair will oversee Wal-Mart’s US grocery business, reporting to John Fleming, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for Wal-Mart Stores U.S.
“Jack has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the retail food business and I look forward to his contributions as we continue to grow our grocery business,” Fleming said.
