Starbucks’ US$13m purchase of up to 40 Diedrich Coffee cafes in Orange County has been approved by shareholders, reported local press.
 
According to The Orange County Register, the deal is expected to be complete by February, with some local Diedrich cafes rebranded to Starbucks by January.
 
Besides Diedrich cafes, the company is also selling 15 Coffee People stores, allowing the chain to focus on its more profitable wholesale division.
