US seafood firm Starkist Co. has launched three canned tuna products for the Hispanic market. 

The Autentico items are cuts of tuna in oil with a variety of vegetables and spices to appeal to the Hispanic population in the US.

The products are available in three varieties including tuna with vegetables, sweet & spicy tuna with peppers and tuna with with jalapenos. 

“StarKist is always looking to expand our portfolio of products to broaden our appeal to as many people as possible,” Starkist managing director Jennifer Albert said yesterday (25 October).

“Our chunk light tuna with vegetables, sweet & spicy chunk light tuna with peppers and our chunk light tuna with jalapenos provides lovers of Hispanic-flavored food with delicious, convenient and affordable seafood options,” she added.

The Autentico line is available at Wal-Mart Stores outlets for US$1.69 per can.
