StarKist has appointed In-Soo Cho as its new president and CEO, effective today (1 March).
Cho has held senior management positions in the consumer packaged goods and restaurant industries, the shelf-stable seafood manufacturer said. He has held various positions with the likes of Yum Brands International and Proctor and Gamble.
“Leading the StarKist Team is an honour, and I am looking forward to taking the business to a new level by working with the dedicated team of people in the United States as well as in other parts of the world, especially American Samoa and Ecuador,” said Cho. “StarKist is one of the most recognised brands in America and is a leader in seafood business. As a company focused exclusively on providing the highest quality seafood to American families, we have a tremendous opportunity to build and expand our business.”
StarKist’s former president and CEO, Donald Binotto, left the company last November. No reason was provided for his exit.
