Supervalu has appointed Burt Fealing vice president, corporate secretary and chief securities counsel. Fealing, who will report to executive vice president Dave Boehnen, will be responsible for corporate governance issues.

Fealing comes to Supervalu from Verizon Communications, where he served as assistant general counsel, finance and securities.
