Supervalu said today (28 September) that it is reviewing internal and external candidates to lead the company’s merchandising and marketing teams. In the interim, CEO and president Craig Herkert will oversee these functions.

“Duncan has been an integral part of our management team and has helped us lay the foundation for our company’s future success,” said Herkert. “We wish him well as he pursues his career interests and ambitions.”

He added: “We have powerful merchandising and marketing teams that give us the ability to leverage national scale, while serving local market preferences. I look forward to working directly with our team leaders.”

This is the latest reshuffle to the group’s management team, which saw Brian Huff appointed to the newly-created position of senior vice president of specialty retail in July.
