Taylor Farms Pacific and Safeway have announced the voluntary recall of various products containing broccoli after a random sample of the vegetable tested positive for listeria.

The Safeway recall, announced on Saturday 26 February) includes products which contain broccoli sourced by Taylor Farms Pacific and sold in the deli area of its Safeway, Vons, Paviliona and Pak ‘N’ Save outlets. The recall includes the Signature Café Veggie Pleaser and Mediterranean Snacker trays, Deli Broccoli Salad, Deli Signature Café Broccoli Bowl, and Deli Italian Pasta Salad. Products have sell-by dates ranging from 7 Feb to 7 March.

The recall effects a total of 12 western states, including California, Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, New Mexico and Washington State.

A list of products recalled by salad maker Taylor Farms Pacific was not immediately available.
