Dairy-free food group Tofutti Brands has booked an increase in sales for the first nine-months of the year, but saw a slowdown during the third quarter.
Nine-month sales were up 6% to US$11.1m. However sales in the third quarter fell 2% on lower frozen dessert sales.
The company’s net loss for the nine months ended 28 September was $236,000, compared to a net loss of $526,000 for the comparable period of last year. The group’s profit figure was boosted by improved margins, the result of price increases and lower promotional spending.
