Unilever has sold a US ice cream manufacturing facility in Hagerstown, MD, to investment groups New Mill Capital and M Davies Group.
The deal, which was for an undisclosed sum, will see NMC and MDG look to re-market the site to other ice cream manufacturers and alternative food users.
“This is a well built, flexible plant with ample water rights, a high-capacity wastewater treatment plant, low utility rates, and well maintained process and support equipment,” the investors said in a statement.
Unilever ended production at the facility last autumn.
