Unilever United States has completed the conversion of two Country Crock spreads into trans-fat-free products.

Shedd’s Spread Country Crock regular and Country Crock Churn Style soft, to reduce fat, trans fat and saturated fat in its portfolio, the company said.

“The Country Crock reformulation is part of our overall strategy to create great-tasting products that spread as smoothly as ever and are superb choices for health-conscious consumers,” said Keith Bobier, Unilever US, senior marketing director for Shedd’s Spread Country Crock. “Our trans-fat-free Country Crock products give consumers even greater flexibility in managing their diets while allowing them to enjoy the smooth texture and taste of a high-quality, high-performing soft spread.”

The new products join other Unilever trans-fat-free spread ranges of Country Crock Light, Country Crock Plus Calcium & Vitamins, Country Crock Plus Yogurt, and Spreadable Butter with Canola Oil.
