The sale of upmarket chocolate business Godiva has won competition clearance in the US, current brand-owner Campbell Soup Co. has confirmed.
The US Federal Trade Commission has given the green light to Campbell’s planned sale of the business to Turkish food maker Yildiz Holding.
Yidiz, which owns Turkish food giant Ülker Group, agreed an US$850m deal with Campbell last month.
A Campbell spokesman said the transaction was now awaiting clearance from Turkey’s anti-trust regulators.
