The company said yesterday (14 May) that operating income had soared by 50% to US$629,000 during the first three months of the year.
Vita Foods decided to cut its spending on marketing, sales and distribution during the first quarter, a move that boosted profits as sales remained flat.
The company posted consolidated net sales of US$12.8m in line with the turnover it reported in the first quarter of last year.
