US retail giant Wal-Mart Stores has begun testing an online grocery concept – “Wal-Mart To Go” in San Jose in California.
Consumers can order groceries and consumables found in-store by visiting Walmart.com and the selected products will then be delivered to their homes, Wal-Mart spokesperson Ravi Jariwala told just-food.

“The test, ‘Walmart To Go’, allows customers to visit Walmart.com to order groceries and consumables found in a Walmart store – including fresh produce, meat and seafood, frozen, bakery, baby, over the counter pharmacy, household supplies and health and beauty products,” Jariwala said.
Wal-Mart declined to comment on the length of the test or whether the company is considering rolling Wal-Mart To Go out in other markets.
