Wal-Mart Stores has appointed Duncan Mac Naughton as chief merchandising officer in the US, effective today (28 January).

The company announced that he will oversee all merchandise categories across the retailer’s US business.

Mac Naughton joined the company in 2009 as chief merchandising officer for Wal-Mart Canada, and was appointed as executive vice president of merchandising for Wal-Mart US, where he was responsible for consumables, health and wellness and Walmart.com.
