Although there has been no government recall for the 12.5-ounce cans of Enfamil Newborn powder, lot number ZP1K7G, the retailer has decided to called them back.
Wal-Mart spokeswoman Dianna Gee said the company decided to pull the product “out of an abundance of caution” while health officials investigate.
Manufacturer Mead Johnson Nutrition said the lot tested negative for the bacterium prior to shipment.
